ONION BOY, EPISODE 2: PLANTCORE
(A digital exploration of Plants vs. Zombies franchise memories)

Following his rise, demise, and rise again within the Guitar Hero community, our protagonist, Onion Boy (portrayed by Gregory James Daniel) finds himself booting up "Plants vs. Zombies" again for the first time in 11 years, and is deeply troubled by what he discovers next. His favorite zombie, the Dancing Zombie (a.k.a "The Michael Jackson Zombie"), has been replaced with some kind of stereotypical disco shmuck. Yuck! It turns out, in July of 2010, the Michael Jackson Estate expressed their disapproval of his portrayal in the game, and PopCap reacted accordingly with this update. Fair enough, right? But not for Onion Boy. That was his favorite zombie in the game! And based on his favorite artist too! With the help of his "Afterlife Traveling" ability (activated by shooting himself in the real world), and our narrator "Will", Onion Boy sets out to change the universe for the better (in his eyes, at least) by bringing this famous zombie back into the game. But what will it take? Only one way to find out.
